Trustee Recruitment
Established in 2011, YCS aim to help people who cannot otherwise afford or access counselling. We have grown and developed since this time and have helped hundreds of people per year as they struggle with mental health and difficulty in accessing counselling services.
YCS registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2019 (Charity number 1182049).
In COVID, despite being closed, we succeeded in setting up our services online and took the time to develop a strategic plan and business plan with the aim of expanding our services and growing our low-cost service over the next few years.
We are always looking for individuals who can join the Board of Trustees and play a key role in our ambitious plans for the future. We are looking for people who can compliment our existing Trustees and bring knowledge and enthusiasm to the Board whilst working to support our operational staff.
The Board of Trustees meet four times per year, and we have 3 subgroups leading on Clinical, Governance and Business & Finance. The Annual General Meeting is in July each year.
We currently have vacancies in the following areas of representation
- Fundraising
- HR
- Treasurer
- Company Secretary
At present all meetings are attended with a mix of in person at our Cardiff Office and online as needed.
Trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no renumeration.
